Certificate of Achievement
To acquire the Certificate of Achievement in the Wild Land Fire Academy, students must successfully complete the 108 hour academy with a "C" or better. This Academy meets hiring requirements for the US Forest Service as a member of a TYPE II hand crew and meets minimum requirements as a seasonal firefighter for the California Department of Forestry. This Academy is specifically designed for those students who wish to be hired as a Wild land Firefighter during the Wild Land Fire Season (typically May through October of each calendar year).
